New in the Shop: A Computers Category

Laptops, desktops and PC parts used to sit among our other gadgets. They now have their own Computers category, which makes them easier to find and compare.

Compact desktops

For a compact desk setup, the Apple Mac mini with the M4 chip pairs 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD with a footprint small enough to sit beside a monitor.

Laptops

For heavier work such as video editing and 3D, the 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 Max chip has a 14-core CPU, a 32-core GPU and 36GB of memory.

For everyday work, the 14-inch Ultrabook weighs 2.9 lb and charges over either of its USB-C ports, and the 16-inch Gaming Laptop pairs a 165 Hz screen with a dedicated graphics card.

Building or upgrading a desktop

And for people building or upgrading their own desktop, the Intel Core i9-13900KF is a 24-core processor for LGA 1700 motherboards. It has no integrated graphics, so plan for a separate graphics card.

Prefer something ready to go? The Tower Desktop PC and the 27-inch All-in-One Desktop are in the same category.
